Ravencrest Chalet was built in 1963 as a fine replica of an old, Swiss-style chalet and was used as a home for 10 years. In 1973, four businessmen came together and purchased it for use as a bed and breakfast. In hope that the Chalet be used for God’s glory, one of the owners contacted Major Ian Thomas, who visited the Chalet in October of 1973. They shared a vision of creating a Bible school where students could not only deepen their knowledge of the scriptures but also experience a transformative encounter with Jesus Christ. That vision became a reality, and today, we stand here, humbled and grateful for 50 years of God’s grace and faithfulness.

The impact of Ravencrest extends far beyond the classroom walls. Over the past five decades, we’ve witnessed countless lives transformed by the power of Christ’s love and teachings. Graduates have gone on to become pastors, missionaries, teachers, counselors, and leaders in their communities, all carrying with them the light of Christ.

As we commemorate this remarkable milestone, we invite all alumni, former staff, and friends of Ravencrest to join us in celebrating. Together, we’ll share stories, worship, and thank God for His faithfulness.

We welcome you to be a part of this special anniversary celebration. Whether you’re a long-time supporter, a former student, or someone new to our community, your presence and participation are invaluable.

Stay tuned for event details, special speakers, and opportunities to connect with fellow alumni and friends. The 50th-anniversary celebration promises to be a memorable gathering of the Ravencrest family, united by our shared love for Christ.

Join us as we celebrate the past, embrace the present, and anticipate the future, all with Christ at the center.

Our 50th celebration officially begins on the morning of Saturday, May 25th, however some of our guests who are staying on campus for the celebration will be arriving on Friday, May 24th.

Therefore, we will be providing a dinner on campus on Friday evening at 5:30pm and breakfast on Saturday morning at 8:00am for anyone who is registered for the 50th Celebration, whether you are staying on campus or not. We do ask that if those attending the 50th would like to attend this dinner and/or breakfast, please email our registrar at .This information will greatly aid our Kitchen Staff in preparing for these two meals.

On Saturday morning we will kick off our celebration at 9am with a Welcome Reception time followed by two morning sessions. After lunch we will have some optional activities taking place throughout the afternoon. We will also have our coffee shop and merchandise shop open during this time (FYI – our shops only take credit cards as payment). In the evening, after dinner, there will be an evening session along with a viewing of the Ravencrest Documentary. We will finish off the day with a few optional activities.

We would like to let those attending know that some of our staff will be providing childcare during the sessions for children ages 3-13 years old. Childcare will be offered on Saturday morning for the first two sessions that morning, the session on Saturday evening, and during the final three sessions Sunday morning.

Along with sending more details in regards to the schedule, we hope to provide more information about this opportunity soon. For parents of little ones (aged 0-2 years old) there will be a room connected to the area where the sessions will be held where parents can step “out” to be with their children if needed.
