Week in review
Over the weekend some students, taking advantage of the Colorado terrain, journeyed to Bear Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park to do some backcountry skiing and snowboarding. Sunday everyone attended the various churches they are calling home for the year. After church and some lunch everyone begin getting dressed in the 1960’s -70’s fashions for the student life activity ‘Flash Back Bowling’ before going to the lanes. Over thirty students went, either dominating their lane, or deciding to just laugh and have fun with it.
Monday came and lectures with our usual teachers commenced, as well as the beginning of lessons about the Feasts of Israel taught by Wayne Weissman. With each of his sessions, we learned about the history of Israel in order to understand the Feasts and to see how they all relate to Christ.
Hiking and skiing all took place on Tuesday afternoon. By the time they got back, those who had gone had stories to share, and were exhausted.
Workday commenced Thursday afternoon, and afterward students relaxed over dinner before heading out for a Family Night. Staff houses opened to their student families for an evening of no concern for studying, but rather, they enjoyed activities and games in one another’s presence.
Everyone is getting into the routine of learning from the classes, but also having their minds opened to having fun with their brothers and sisters in the faith. A worthwhile endeavor for the remaining time we have this year
